Worley undertook the Basic Engineering Design for three Sulphur Recovery Unitsat the Nizhnekamsk Refinery. Fuel gas containing H2S streams producedby process units will be treated in Amine absorbers OSBL. Rich aminewill be sent to amine regeneration located next to Claus unit in orderto limit the piping full of H2S for safety consideration. Clean aminewill be sent back to each consumer. Each of three Sulphur RecoveryUnits is constituted of the Claus plant itself followed by a Tail GasTreatment Unit (TGTU). The same amine (MDEA 50% wt) is used in allthese process facilities. The liquid sulphur degassing unit, thermalincinerator and stack are common to all three Sulphur Recovery Units.
